Letter from the President

Welcome!

Thank you for taking an interest in Alpha Omicron Pi! My name is Brina Fulcher, and I am the current President of the AOII Kappa Sigma chapter at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. In to AOII, I am currently studying Elementary Education with a Minor in Early Childhood.

AOII was formed at Barnard College in 1897 by four great women we call our “Founders.” Since that time, our great sisterhood has grown to 142 collegiate chapters, 158 Alumnae chapters, and over 191,000 sisters. With that many sisters, it is easy to find someone to connect with anywhere!

Our website will guide you through a few things AOII is extremely proud of. Our chapter sisterhood is 24 sisters strong with a wide variety of personalities and majors creating a diverse group of people to be apart of. Our philanthropy inspires us to become better women and to serve others. Each year we raise money for those suffering from arthritis through our annual Strike! Out Arthritis event and participate in Sisters for Soldiers collecting goods and writing letters for those in the military serving at home and overseas. Our sisterhood bond grows through our weekly sisterhood activities ranging from studying in the library to having a cookie making competition and many more! Often you can find our sisters eating or studying together and supporting one another as they better themselves through schooling.

Being apart of this great University and supporting its endeavors is something we all strive for. Through participation on campus groups such as Love Your Melon Crew and the Optimist Club, we are able to expand our philanthropic and community outreach and support our fellow students! We take pride in supporting other Greek life on campus and have a strong bond among chapters. You will meet people you will not know how to live without!

I want to personally welcome you into learning more about this great sisterhood and the UWRF Greek community as a whole. Whether you need a positive girl squad, a home away from home, or a support system worth the world, we all would love to get to know you!

With love,

Brina Fulcher
